2025 ASL Employment Opportunities - starting Term 2
The Taupō Community of Learning | Kāhui Ako is seeking FOUR experienced teachers for Across School Leader (fixed term two year) role who can work collaboratively to support our community’s teachers to meet our Achievement Challenges.
The role of the Across School Leader is:

A great opportunity to work with your colleagues to support our community’s teachers and students.
A chance to work across all schools to develop and support the vision of the Kāhui Ako.
These fixed term roles will:
Focus on improving teaching practices in order to meet the shared achievement challenges
Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify and address problems of professional practice
Work closely with the Community leadership role to focus on the shared achievement challenge
There are 4 Fixed Term Roles available, each for a period of two years (from the date of employment). These roles sit alongside your current permanent teaching position and are complementary to that position. They are not a position in their own right and all roles are reviewed and advertised at the end of each two year period.
While you will work collaboratively across the achievement challenges each position has a specific focus area. Please indicate in your covering email which focus area you are most interested in and why you think would be the best candidate for that focus area position.
Position 1: Key focus: Literacies achievement challenge (and revised NZC - English development)
Position 2: Key focus: Maths achievement challenge (and revised NZC - Maths development)
Position 3: Key focus : Small Schools liaison to facilitate specific support needed (for those that don't generate a Within School Teacher position - Kuratau, Rangitaiki, Tirohanga, Whakamaru)
Position 4: Key focus: ECE liaison to work alongside LSC ECE position to facilitate specific support needed
